This Privacy Policy describes how SSC Exam Sathi (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information stored and processed

To provide syllabus tracking and progress synchronization across devices, the app collects and processes the following information:

• Syllabus progress: Which topics or subtopics you have marked as completed (stored locally and synced to Firebase Firestore).
• Account Information (Google Sign-In): If you choose to sign in, we collect your Email address, Display Name, and Profile Photo URL. This is used solely to authenticate you, create your user profile, and securely associate your study progress with your account in our database.
• Preference settings: Your selected exam, language preference (English/Hindi), theme (light/dark), and achievement milestones.

2. Analytics and Diagnostics

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve app stability and user experience. This collects:

• Anonymous usage events (e.g., screens visited, exams selected, milestones reached).
• Crash logs and performance diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics) to debug errors and prevent crashes.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data, email address, or progress details with any third parties or advertisers.

4. Data Deletion and Account Removal

We provide a way for users to request data deletion. If you wish to delete your account and remove all of your progress, notes, and profile data from our databases, you can submit a request through the contact details listed below. All of your personal information and progress records will be permanently deleted from our servers within 7 business days.

5. Security

All data transmitted between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) encryption. Your progress and profile are protected by Google Authentication security protocols.

6. Children

The app is intended for general use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
